Nano Banana in ComfyUI: Nodes and Workflows

·4 min read·Nano Banana AI

ComfyUI includes Nano Banana as built-in partner nodes, so you do not need a custom node pack. There is a node for the original Nano Banana (Gemini 2.5 Flash Image) and one for Nano Banana Pro, shown in the UI as “Nano Banana Pro (Google Gemini Image)”, and a ready-made workflow in the template library.

How to use Nano Banana in ComfyUI

  1. Update ComfyUI to a recent version.
  2. Sign in to your Comfy account; partner nodes run through Comfy’s API service and need a login.
  3. Open the template library and load the Nano Banana Pro workflow, or add the node from the node search.
  4. Connect a prompt, and optionally reference images, then set the resolution.
  5. Queue the prompt. The image is generated on Google’s servers and returned to your graph.

What the Pro node can do

According to Comfy’s launch post, the Nano Banana Pro node supports native 4K output and can blend up to 14 input images, and it can be chained with other partner nodes, for example to upscale or animate the result.

What it costs

Partner nodes are paid per run through Comfy’s credits. Comfy’s launch post quoted Nano Banana Pro at the same rates as Google’s API: $0.134 per 1K or 2K image and $0.24 per 4K image. Check Comfy’s current pricing before large batches.

Tips for ComfyUI workflows

  • Use Nano Banana 2 or the original node for drafts and switch to Pro for finals.
  • Keep reference images small and sharp; huge files slow the upload without improving the result.
  • Feed the output into local nodes (upscalers, masks, compositing) to combine Nano Banana with open models.

Don’t need a node graph?

For generation and editing without building workflows, Nano Banana AI runs every Nano Banana model in the browser, and Is Nano Banana open source? lists open models you can run fully locally in ComfyUI. To turn a render into a 3D file, see Can Nano Banana make 3D models?.

Frequently asked questions

Does ComfyUI support Nano Banana?

Yes. ComfyUI includes official partner nodes for Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro, plus a template workflow.

Is Nano Banana free in ComfyUI?

No. Partner nodes are paid per run through Comfy credits, at rates close to Google’s API prices.
